The Small and the Large brain

In the book „In the Light of Truth“ by Abd-ru-shin there are several passages about the tense, or even conflicting relationship between two, radically different in activity, parts of the most complex organ of the body – human brain. There we can read about the divergence in functions of the forebrain – the Large brain and the hindbrain – the Small brain. In his work „In the Light of Truth“, Abd-ru-shin speaks about the disproportionate relation of these two parts in a very specific way.
The part primarily producing thought – intellectual activity is called the Large brain. The Small brain, on the contrary, is described as the part closely related to the ability to receive supersubstantial vibrations of the human spirit – sentience.
„The activity of the human spirit causes sentience in the solar plexus and thus it influences the Small brain at the same time. That is a manifestation of the spirit. The wave of force, which originates from the spirit. Man naturally feels this wave in the place where the spirit in the soul is connected with the body, thus in the centre of the so-called solar plexus, which passes the motion further on to the Small brain, which is influenced by it.
This Small brain immediately produces, according to the certain kind of various influences just like a photographic plate, a picture of the course of action, which the spirit wanted, or which the spirit in its great power created with its desire. A picture without words! The forebrain receives this picture and tries to describe it with words. That is how thoughts are created, the thoughts that are subsequently expressed in speech.“
Due to fostering the intellect – materialistic thinking – during thousands of years an unexpected development of the part that we call the Large brain has taken place. This development started together with the beginning of man’s desire to know and to think. Rational thinking is basically nothing unnatural and it was also pre-prepared in the evolution of the human being on the Earth by the Creator in His wisdom. However, what can be called conflicting is the course of this thinking, which has been strained by man too strongly only to its materialistic use. That is why exactly the actual organ part of the Large brain has grown stronger. Through pondering over matter this otherwise evolutionary much younger part has overdeveloped its abilities and qualities so extensively that it has literally outgrown and pushed back the other, older part of brain, which was maintaining the connection with the human spirit. With the spirit that is the actual animating core of our existence. Man is spirit!
„The whole course of action is in fact very simple and easy. I want to repeat it once more: the spirit influences the bridge given to it by means of solar plexus, imprinting its certain volition in the waves of force into the tool of the Small brain, which was given to it for this purpose. The Small brain immediately passes the imprint to the forebrain. At this further delivery a small change has occurred due to thickening, because the Small brain adds its own kind.
The tools, which the spirit has at its free disposal, work in a human body like links of a chain, fitting exactly together. But all of them are just for formation, they cannot do anything else. They form everything brought to them according to their own specific kind. That is how the forebrain also receives the image, given over to it by the Small brain, and squeezes it into terms limited by space and time according to its slightly grosser kind. Thus the forebrain compresses the image and sets it into a more tangible fine-matter world of thought forms. However, already it aptly creates words and sentences that thanks to the organ of speech enter the fine gross-matter as formed sound waves to cause there again a new manifestation, which puts these waves into motion.
Accordingly, the spoken word is a manifestation of images via forebrain. The forebrain can also direct the course of manifestation towards the organs of movement instead of the organs of speech. This results in writing or action instead of speech.
That is the normal course of action of the human spirit in the gross-matter world, as the Creator wanted it.
It is the right way, which would have induced a healthy and correct development in the Creation. In that case, humanity couldn’t have possibly gone astray.
„But the man has voluntarily stepped out of this path, which was designed for him by the nature of his body. He has wilfully intervened in the normal functioning of the chain of his tools and formed an idol from his intellect. This way he has spent all his power to educate the intellect and thus wasted it one-sidedly just on this point. The forebrain as a producer has been strained much more in comparison to the other cooperating tools. Naturally, he has paid dearly for it. Even and common work of all individual links of the chain has been switched and stuck and thus every right development has been violated. The highest tension of the forebrain only, lasting for several millennia already, has caused it to grow more than anything else. It has resulted in subduing the activity of all neglected parts, which necessarily remained weaker due to lesser usage. Among them is primarily the Small brain, which is the tool of spirit. This means that the activity of man’s own spirit was not only strongly limited, but often completely inhibited and excluded. The chance of the correct contact of the spirit and the forebrain via the bridge of the Small brain is buried. In one-sided fostering of the forebrain lies the hereditary sin of man against God or better expressed against the Divine Laws, which are concealed in the correct position and function of all body tools just like in the whole Creation. Keeping the right distribution would have also carried in itself the proper and straight way to ascent for the human spirit. But man has in his arrogance and ambition intervened in the net of healthy activity, pulled one part out of it and fostered it separately, disregarding the others. This had to bring about inequality and disorder. If the course of natural events is inhibited this way, it must result in disease and failure and eventually wild chaos and collapse.“
The connection between the spirit and the material earthborn body is maintained by a nervous net known to science as SYMPATHETIC and PARASYMPATHETIC PLEXUS. Through this plexus the connection with the spirit enters the cerebral part, which we call emotional brain – the Small brain. A part of the vibrations – the radiation of the spirit connects directly with the Small brain and induces completely specific effects on the manifestations of man’s volition and behaviour.
The Small brain has more parts. Consequently we will describe them together with the basic segmentation of their miscellaneous functions. It is important to point out a very frequent mistake – an assumption of the readers of the book „In the Light of Truth“ that by the hind Small brain is meant the Cerebellum as the science calls it. This assumption arises due to incomplete understanding of the term Small brain in the book „In the Light of Truth“. Therefore let us state here again: the part of the brain called by the science the Cerebellum is not the Small brain described by Abd-ru-shin in the book „The Message of the Grail“. The term Small brain includes the whole system of individual parts of the so-called oldest original part of brain, which was fully developed already in the era of the first people on the Earth.
„It’s absolutely impossible for the human spirit to be connected directly to the forebrain, because the essence of the forebrain is not suitable for this at all. The forebrain is unconditionally dependent on the fully working Small brain and according to God’s Will it is supposed to stay in line behind the Small brain in order to fulfil its assigned function properly.
The Small brain is adapted to receive vibrations of the spirit. It is impossible to avoid the Small brain. Since the forebrain’s task is to prepare already the transition to the fine gross-matter, it is obviously of a completely different, much grosser nature.“
