Educated Stupidity

Education brings knowledge, but it does not automatically bring wisdom in man's acting. True wisdom is formed from unity of sentience and conscience. Education alone, as applied by school institutions of most countries in the world, whether they are state or private institutions, this education is not directed at primarily awaking man's sentience and conscience.

Education deals with information, with knowledge of manifold fields of human activity. Education therefore brings today's pupils and students knowledge of the material world, nature and their own language, as well as of some other fields of knowledge that equip man for his future life here on earth.

The purpose of man's existence here on earth is always in the first place progress in wisdom, in developing pure qualities and faculties of one's own personality. It means that the most important thing that man can acquire for himself here on earth, and that he can also pass on to other people, is development of sentience, of conscience, formed from everyday dealing with other people. This is wisdom, which in conjuction with knowledge of education, that means in conjunction with ever-increasing knowledge of the world, its properties and principles, forms possession of true KNOWLEDGE of life through man's experiences. Knowledge, that is aglow with spiritual emotion, remains in one's possession even after his departure from this earth, because it has become an enriching asset through his experiences.

Education without emotion does not awake anything valuable within man. On the contrary, it can very well become a cornerstone for emotionless, calculative behaviour that for the most part lacks the concept of conscience.

Educating other people without the much needed simultaneous developing of their sentient part is madness! It can be likened to a time-bomb that will sooner or later wreak havoc.

Let's think about one peculiar moment. If we watch the growth of the average level of education in the Euro-Atlantic and other countries of the world, then surely the outcome of such growth should be a permanent improvement in coexistence of earth's inhabitants. But, is this true? It isn't. In fact, the outcome of this education is that many people are learning even more sophisticatedly, artfully, to "exist personally", regardless of the needs of people other than their immediate family and their closest friends. To the rest of the world, education teaches man to wear a very searious mask of democracy - a mask behind which alibism is hidden, deep-rooted in a soil of unspirituality, tepid emotionality and very weak conscience. Such is the average of majority, which is spoken about as of decent citizens of democratic countries.

But, if we look from the other side, we can observe, in this seeming contentment and outer affluence, on the verge of existence, on the verge of being and not being, the surviving, dimly flickering spirit-sparks. Yes, from the Light, people are seen as inwardly lacking, desperate spiritual children of Creation, who, no matter how much they boast about their worldly success, their education, are weak and feeble, similar to completely lost orphans, wandering a dark world, from which frightening creatures come at them, tempting and luring them ever deeper into a swamp, where drowning is imminent. Feebleness and lacking stem from disuse of emotion and the inability to experience pure joy and true endeavour to help everywhere where it is needed without the desperate overriding calculation what this or that is going to bring.

Wandering is a result of weakened conscience. Pure and lively inner conscience brings to a man not only the possibility of a stressless sleep, but at the same time it is a glowing rope that leads him with certainty through all places in life forward to a goal, to the possibility of the innerly desired permanent existence in places where peace, happiness, trust, and friendship dwell without the threat of any of these terms being tainted again, being pulled down into pain and dissapointment.

But, let's return to our original question! Why isn't the Earth's population exposed to increasingly joyful experiences as education grows and the knowledge potential is on the increase every day thanks to the tools of media?

Why do people who are considered personalities talk over and over again about the need for better coexistence of people when we are at such a high level of being informed and education as has never been on earth before on such a huge scale?

Doesn't that altogether give one final obvious answer? Education is just as far from wisdom as ignorance!

For a person without conscience, impeccable language skills are as useless in his personal growth as they are for a person who acts heartlessly and is ignorant of everything, and can neither write nor read. As far as spirituality is concerned there is no difference between these two persons!

Yes, of course, many of our readers might object. Man who can read can surely acquaint himself with works of wise people who have lived on earth and have reached understanding of the meaning of life. Very well, then, yes, but does that happen? Do people read these works so they accept the facts recorded in them for themselves and bring them into their lives? Does that happen with the majority of today's population who can read and write quite flawlessly? There is no need to answer this question.

Something else comes into this, too. The sun shines on a person who can write, read, and count just as it does on a person who can do none of this. Should the two go to nature, both of them would be equally surrounded by splendor and so they both could draw unimpeded for themselves from its refreshing beauty of knowing the greatness and wisdom of the one who gave an impuls and energy for its creation. Yes, it is so. The Light justly offers the possibility of spiritual development to everyone absolutely equally!

Not one person is deprived of the possibility to become able on the inside to experience wisdom of the world around, to be in harmony with it and work the lessons learned like small stones into an undived picture of knowledge of life, its meaning and its purpose for man. No person is deprived of anything, no matter how differently physically and intellectually equiped or gifted he is coming into life. It is a curious presumption that only an endeavour for education is a way to man's fully valued use in life. This presumption is misleading, it is even a lie, and it is a sign of madness of those who spread among people that unless one has higher education, he is almost lost in life. Still, majority of people who are not equiped with secondary or higher education do not stand in their humanity any lower than learned people. To grasp the present state of mankind correctly it is better to say that spiritually today's peopel fare equally unwell, no matter how good or bad their educational conditions are. Both higher and middle class are just as spiritually weak and obtuse as the lower class, or as people like to call it - the socially disadvantaged class.

Crazy, lunatic people, who presume that with their earthly range of knowledge and skills they also rise higher in Creation!

Mad are all those who spread something like that nowadays and who from their earthly position look down on their less educated fellow people with contempt! They are poison-soaked creatures who nurture thoughts in their children that social differences in the earthly life mean something more! After they put off their earthly body they will find out how teribly wrong they have been. Morover, they will find out what terrible guilt binds them for spreading these ideas among people.

It is not social conditions or education that speak of man's spiritual value, it is only the purity of his thinking, his sentience and immaculacy of his conscience. But, where are such people? Their work would have to be imbued with profound wisdom that would under all circumstances manifest as blessing that brings justice. Their daily work would be filled with compassion and purity of judgment that draws inspiration from the connection with high spiritual places in Creation. In every respect, only recognition of eternal principles would radiate from the result of their operation, principles manifesting in human life just as they do in the nature or in the universe.

Where are such people, then? Can they be found among professors, scientists, lawyers, engineers, philosophers, artists, or among businessmen? Can they perhaps be found among politicians? No?

But, all of them are surely very well-educated people, boasting with titles of their secondary and higher absolutory!

That they miss wisdom and knowledge of life along with all the above-described?

It all only confirms just the very thing that we described at the begining of this chapter. Education alone is nothing, unless it is joined with sentience, with vital conscience of man. Therefore, it can't be associated with wisdom in knowledge of the meaning of life.

The rule is that even uneducated man can be wise, even if he can't express the wisdom he's drawn with fiery words. Though, he does express it through his deeds, through his conduct on the degree of his educational equipment. Man who can't write and count can be honest and fair, he can be relied on in keeping his word. He can be a friend one would bet all his honor on!

Can we automatically say this of a person who is educated in writing and counting, for example on a secondary degree? Can this be automatically said of a person with a college diploma?

Education is not a guarantee of a valuable character. Even stupidity and repulsive human baseness can be educated, just as this stupidity can be uneducated and illiterate.

If this is true, isn't it necessary then to guide pupils and students in the first place to their awaking an aspiration for wisdom in their heart?

After all, this is the only way to improve life on earth. Wisdom and knowledge of life are supposed to be simultaneously joined with education according to abilities and dispositions of each individual, pupil, or student. The world will not change by means of education, that is more than obvious!

It will change through development of each individual's personality in his refining his noble character traits, so that such an individual can live his life purely, righteously, without all unnecessary faltering and falling.

Therefore, people who are dedicated to education should take an aim as soon as possible at changing the present school system, so that it would be directed more at cooperation with parents and the entire population in terms of elevating the younger and the youngest generation.

Even though, it might seem difficult, perhaps even hopeless in respect to the state of the current society, we have to begin with it, now! Therefore, even that much more quickly! We must start with it, but with full naturality and through a form that will always be natural to every generation! It must happen through the earth's adult inhabitants' own example! Everyone who says that something like this is unnecessary is deliberately harmful to every ascent of human society.

Or does anybody want to claim that man's honest character, his virtue, his conscientiousness and nobleness are qualities that aren't needed among people?

Yes, on the outside, all of us will agree that this is needed, even desirable. But in private, the very same people will tell to themselves and their relatives: "Let's not be silly. If we want to be appreciated in the world, we must not be so narrow-minded about these things! Ocassionaly, a tiny impurity can't be harmful, especially if nobody finds out about it." Mad, mad are such people! Do they think that they can deceive the Laws of Creation? Do they think that if they shout down their conscience they will be absolved of their sins?

After all, their existence does continue after the end of this earthly life, despite of many people trying to disprove this in this recent era of "education".

Mad people! They are not only destroying their prospect of life in Creation, they are also misleading and trampling delicate emotional vibrations of all those, through their smug statements, who on the inside vaguely suspect that much could be done differently from how it is presented in this superficial atmosphere of this divided and split times.

Unfortunate people who under their influence confuse their education with wisdom and put their success in their consciousness before the soft echoes of their conscience.

Man can be wise, he can achieve enlightenment and ascent of his personality, but only in harmony with his pure heart, only then is it true wisdom! Everything else that is not in harmony with this pure conscience is false. It is only a purported progress.

Purported progress that is not simultaneously joined with pure spiritual endeavours then often verges on displaying conceit and haughtiness, it verges on the merest stupidity! Education can therefore be stupid just in its manifested haughtiness and conceit, same as it is with position in high class society.

True wisdom, however, is mutually exlusive with haughtiness and conceit about one's position or education, because wisdom originates from man's spiritual core, from his spirit-spark, and thus he naturally spreads only wholehearted support and reinforcement to all other life on its way to ascent. All that is superficial and stupid is alien to true wisdom!
